Motorcyclist Crossing the Sidewalk Lessens

Within a week of Sidewalk Awareness Month, number of motorcyclists who pass the sidewalk is reducing.

There is no vehicle passing on the sidewalk to the sixth day

Hopefully, motorcyclist awareness towards sidewalk function can also be done later on.

Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Yani Wahyu Purwoko said, until the sixth day of Sidewalk Awareness Month is applied, motorcyclist who violate crossing the sidewalk is nowhere to be found.

Sub-district Taskforces Deployed to Support Orderly Sidewalk

"There is no vehicle passing on the sidewalk to the sixth day," he said at City Hall, Monday (8/7)

   

According to him, it was noted more than 2,000 violators have been controlled. Started from street vendor (PKL), illegal parking, sidewalk crossing motorcycles, and others.

"It was noted around 2.000 violations happened during Sidewalk Awareness Month to this day," he mentioned.

He added, this program is initiated to educate citizen that sidewalk is facility intended for pedestrian. Thus it is not allowed to be used as trading place or illegal parking.

"We are socializing Sidewalk Awareness Month to citizen thus they become understand that sidewalk is intended for pedestrian," he closed.
